Properties and Application
- Magnesium is a gray-white lightweight metal, two-thirds the density of aluminium.
- Magnesium has the lowest melting (923 K (1,202 ° F)) and the lowest boiling point 1,363 K (1,994 ° F) of all the alkaline earth metals.
- Pure magnesium is brittle and easily fractures along shear bands.
- Magnesium Ingots can be used in the production of magnesium alloy, chemical industrial, military industrial and meter instrument manufacture
- It is used as a reducing agent to separate uranium and other metals from their salts.
- Used mainly for beverage cans, sports equipment such as golf clubs, fishing reels, and archery bows and arrows.
