Properties and Application
- It is a steely-grey, lustrous, hard and brittle transition metal
- The two main products of chromite refining are Ferro Chrome and Chromium Metal.
- It has high corrosion resistance and hardness.
- Steel is made highly resistant to corrosion by adding metallic chromium to form stainless steel.
